Built in 1932 by William Yeates Company, the refinery which was later purchased by Phillips 66 in the 1940s, is one of two refineries located in Woods Cross, Utah.  Initially producing 1,000 barrels per day, the refinery, now owned by Holly Corporation, produced as much as 31,000 barrels per day as of 2010.

Known by many as the Phillips 66 refinery, the facility, which is now owned by the Holly Corporation, was built in 1932.  Initially owned by the William Yeats Company (WYC), the WYC changed its name to Wasatch Oil Refining Company a few years later.  Phillips Petroleum purchased the refinery in the late 1940s.  At this point in the refinery’s history, it was producing 4,200 barrels per day, and, by 1963, the capacity had increased to 15,500 barrels per day.  In 2003, the Holly Corporation purchased the refinery and is currently operated by its wholly owned subsidiary, Holly Refining & Marketing Company.  The refinery has employed as many as 129 people (in 1991) and produced as much as 31,000 barrels per day (in 2010).
