The Lake Side Power Plant is a natural gas facility owned by Lake Side Power and operated by Pacificorp (AKA Rocky Mountain Power).  Twenty-two acres of the 65-acre site was built upon the former property of Geneva Steel. Construction of the power plant began in 2005, was completed in 2007 and is still in operation today.

Constructed by Lake Side Power LLC and Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation, the Lake Side Power Plant is operated by Pacificorp (AKA Rocky Mountain Power).  Part of the site was built on the land formerly owned by Geneva Steel.  Located approximately 35 miles south of Salt Lake City, Utah, the plant has been in operation since 2007.
